HAMPDEN, Maine ?Ten Bucks Theatre is producing a full stage reading of The Crucible Oct. 9-10 as a fundraiser for Harmony Hall at the hall in Hampden.The hall, built in 1828, is in need of renovations. It was one of the towns first public buildings and is located at 24 Kennebec Road.The Greek revival building boasts a Revere Bell as well as gothic windows and an elaborate gallery. The hall was first used for church services.In 1895 the Hampden Village Improvement Society was formed and Harmony Hall became its meeting place. At that time some renovations were made.
